Docket vs BroadPeak · K3

Short version: BroadPeak · K3 records the trade. Docket does the chasing. Most desks that run one still do the follow-up by hand, and that is the part Docket takes over.

Docket escalations: the email, WhatsApp, SMS and AI voice call ladder, above three live escalations with the tier each has reached.
The escalation ladder — email, WhatsApp, SMS, then an AI voice call.

Where Docket differs

It performs the follow-up, it doesn't file it

Pipes, not people. It moves data you already have; it does not go and get what you are missing.

Docket runs the six jobs below on every shipment and reaches counterparties on channels they already use.

The work in question

Six jobs that stay manual next to a system of record

None of these is hard because it is technically difficult. They stay manual because every tool in the category records the trade and hands the follow-up back to a person.

  • Checks every document is present & correctBL, invoice, COO, packing list, insurance — verified against your checklist, per container. How it works →
  • Chases suppliers daily — schedules, prices, docsLoading schedules until confirmed, prices every morning, and whoever owes the missing document. How it works →
  • Escalates on WhatsApp / call when it's urgentEmail first. Then WhatsApp, SMS and an AI voice call — automatically. How it works →
  • Tracks every expense — traced to its emailDuty, port charges, CHA fees, detention — pulled from invoice emails, so each container's landed cost is live. Every line links to the email it came from. How it works →
  • Builds your payment calendar itselfLoading confirmed → payables scheduled from your terms; receivables follow the sales contract. Currencies kept separate. How it works →
  • Logs everything in a full audit trailEvery check, reminder, commitment and dollar on record — with the raw email behind it, one click away.

Polite, then persistent

You get the document — even when nobody answers email.

A reminder email is where most tools stop. When a supplier goes quiet Docket climbs, on channels your counterparties already use. Nobody has to sign up for a portal.

The math

What the chasing costs while it stays manual

On a 500-container desk, on the operational baseline published across this site.

  • 770 ha month of desk time Docket takes over
  • $19,250what that time costs today, loaded
  • $205,800a year, net of what Docket costs

Demurrage and fraud savings are deliberately excluded — both are real, both are episodic, and this number is only desk time.

Straight answers

Docket and BroadPeak · K3, side by side

Is Docket a replacement for BroadPeak · K3?

Not usually. BroadPeak · K3 is trade data integration, 100+ venues. Docket is the desk work around it — chasing the supplier, checking the pack against the contract, escalating when nobody replies, and building the payment calendar. Most desks keep their system of record and add the follow-through.

What does Docket do that BroadPeak · K3 does not?

It performs the follow-up itself, and it reaches counterparties on email, WhatsApp, SMS and an AI voice call — channels they already use, with no portal for anyone to sign up for. pipes, not people

Do my suppliers have to join anything?

No. That is the difference from a network product. Docket contacts your exporter, CHA and bank where they already are.

What does it cost?

Per shipment, not per seat — from $6 a shipment, and a shipment bills at most two containers.

Who you will be dealing with

Give me 15 minutes and I'll show you what we've taken off a real importer's desk

Balkrishna Agarwal, founder of Docket

I'm Balkrishna, and I built this after more than twenty years working on and managing an export–import trade desk — I have chased the packing lists, checked the packs and paid the demurrage this site describes. Docket runs a real import SOP end to end today — the six jobs on this page are working software, not a roadmap. We are taking on two or three import desks to build the next part around.

Write in and you get me, not a sales team. That is deliberate rather than an apology for our size: the fastest way to make Docket good at your desk is to talk to the person building it.

Still deciding?

We will walk your actual workflow — the six jobs, on your containers — and tell you plainly where Docket helps and where it does not.

WhatsApp, email or phone — you get the founder, not a sales team.
